Hi, I just finished watching all of "The Beginning" episodes on Amazon Video. I started the new series (on Amazon) that is in color and at the Old House (with Josette). I loved the beautiful black and white, with my favorite character, Elizabeth Stoddard. I find that I (so far) don't really care for the new storyline, and the Matthew character who died in the first part is back. I hated that character.
Also, TV was still in the phase of changing to color where they hadn't figured out not to use the heavy, theater pancake makeup.
I would love to know... how long is the shift into the past? How many episodes? Does it shift back and forth? Every time I peek into Wikipedia for some information I encounter some wonderful plot details that are spoiled.
