The Dark Shadows Wiki

Whoever maintains this wikia has put a lot of supposed bloopers and mistakes that are not really bloopers and mistakes. It's sloppy.

the DS wiki relies on the collaborative effort of all users. as such, in the nearly 20 years of the site's existence, there have been over 500 contributors to the thousands of pages, all with varying levels of "expertise" of DS ranging everywhere from "first time viewers" to "seen all DS-related media multiple times" to "i don't know a thing about DS and just go around editing random wikis". as a community, we do our best. but we do rely on everyone to contribute. over the years, there has been many discussions stemming from the mistakes and bloopers section of the pages on the original series, and many times it is just a disagreement of whether or not it is an actual mistake. personally, i try to stay away from editing those sections because part of my initial draw to DS was all of the errors that made it to air, so i enjoy seeing what others consider to be mistakes. but just like everyone else, feel free to contribute. thanks! As a Wiki, this site has lots of people contributing to it. I agree that many of the so-called bloopers are indeed not bloopers, but rather than berate someone for posting it, I choose to add a comment as to why it may not be a blooper at all and let everyone decide for themselves. There is no need to post a nasty response. We are all fans of Dark Shadows. Jtrue52 (talk) 19:47, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

Seconding the opinions of more experienced editors User:NS200101010 and User:Jtrue52. This is how we run things here, and we like it this way. We like the friendly atmosphere. We like the way the Bloopers / Continuity Error section is essentially a conversation spot. We like the micro-discussions on interpretation of motives. We have a wiki that is wonderfully open, deep, and nuanced -- and we like it. AmethystTrask (talk) 08:00, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
