Sheila Ray was an uncredited extra hired as a screaming double for Diana Millay (149). After Josette completes the Sam Evans portrait of Laura by filling in the image of David, Roger decides to destroy the painting by burning it in the drawing room fireplace. The scream can be heard three times as the painting immolates in the flames.
