Ralston Purina lamp in lobby of Collinsport Inn (1966)
The Ralston Purina lamp is a favorite prop among many Dark Shadows fans, so named because of the white band of red checkerboard designs ringing the base of the lamp shade that greatly resemble the trademark Ralston Purina logo.
For the first few months of the series, the Ralston Purina lamp can be seen on the front desk of the Collinsport Inn lobby (1, 7, 8, 11, 24, 61).
The Ralston Purina lamp makes its first appearance at Collinwood in 1967 as a bedside table lamp in Elizabeth's room (156) and soon becomes a permanent fixture in Roger's study (169), though it will occasionally be seen in Roger's room as well (519).
