Ode to Angelique was a piece of piano music written for Angelique Stokes Collins by composer and friend Bruno Hess in parallel time. The piece was published and had several different arrangements in that band of time, and served to represent the dead matriarch in the minds of those who knew and loved her. Maggie Collins purchased a record of the piece for Daniel Collins as a gift (984).
- Ode to Angelique existed both inside and outside of the Dark Shadows universe. The piece was played by characters in the actual storyline (984, 986), and it also appeared as a part of the background music for some episodes (969). In real life, the music was composed by Robert Cobert, the primary Dark Shadows music composer.
- Recordings of Ode to Angelique can be found on the Original Music From Dark Shadows (Volume 2), Original Music From Dark Shadows (Volume 3), Original Music From Dark Shadows (Volume 4), Dark Shadows 30th Anniversary Collection, and The Complete Dark Shadows Soundtrack Music Collection soundtrack releases.
