Kendrick Young was the brother of Stella Young and husband of Melanie Collins. He existed in 1841 Parallel Time.
Arrival at Collinwood[]
Kendrick first arrived in Collinsport to visit his sister, however when she did not appear to meet him he went to Collinwood looking for her. He was disturbed to find her missing and spends a great deal of time searching for her until he discovers her buried in the woods of the estate.
Melanie Collins[]
Shortly after his arrival he met and fell very much in love with Melanie Collins, the adoptive daughter of Flora and Justin Collins. Although Melanie returned his affection, she tried to maintain a distance for reasons he could not understand. Kendrick was not discouraged and continued to pursue a romantic relationship with her. Eventually Melanie confessed her secret to Kendrick: for years she has suffered from occasional bouts of madness and may have been responsible for the death of Stella Young. The news sho
cked Kendrick, but after further consideration, he determined that Melanie could not have been Stella's murderer and proposes marriage.
Kendrick and Melanie married very soon after, but their wedding night was interrupted by the news of Daphne Collins's death. That and other factors led to Melanie's madness worsening. Flora and Julia Collins suggested he should have his marriage anulled, which he absolutly refused to consider. Only after the family curse was ended were they able to live out their happy ending - eventually they moved to Boston and went on to have three children. (1245)
