Widely viewed as a drunken disappointment by the family, it was Gabriel who drew the unlucky slip in the first lottery in 1841. A frightened Gabriel escaped Collinwood, but was found drunk at The Eagle by Morgan. Seemingly resigned to his fate, he entered the locked room, but had secretly arranged for one of his drinking companions, Tim Braithwaite, to take his place in exchange for $1,000. Gabriel spent roughly a half an hour in the locked room, which was long enough to turn him insane. The madness sent him on a murderous rampage, as he hid in the most secret parts of Collinwood. Gabriel was eventually caught and killed by Morgan out of self-defence (1237).

Gabriel Collins (1811 − 1841) was the youngest son of Justin and Flora Collins. He was the brother of Morgan and Quentin Collins and had an adopted sister, Melanie.

Unlike his real-time counterpart, Gabriel never married nor had any known children. It is a possibility that Cyrus Longworth was an illegitimate descendant of his.

Source Material

Gabriel in parallel time was based on Hindley Earnshaw from Wuthering Heights.

Notes

Gabriel Collins (PT) was Christopher Pennock's final role on the show.
