Frenchman Bay is a location in Maine, not far from Collinsport. In 1690, Isaac Collins sailed across the ocean and landed here before eventually settling Collinsport (17).
Located in Hancock County, Frenchman Bay was named in honor of the French explorer Samuel de Champlain, who first landed there in 1604.
