Elizabeth Collins Stoddard was the matriarch of the Collins family in the 1960s and owner of the Collins Fishing Fleet.
Family
The great granddaughter of Jeremiah Collins, Elizabeth had a brother, Roger (1, 2).
Elizabeth's husband left her in 1949 and she decided to remain at the house until he returned. Six months later her daughter Carolyn was born (5).
Business
Elizabeth owned the Collins Fishing Fleet and Canneries. Bill Malloy managed the businesses, but she made all of the important decisions, speaking with him every morning (8). Malloy came up to see her at Collinwood once a week (1).
Life
