Collinwood after its restoration in 1972.

Collinwood was the home of the Collins family, built in the late eighteenth century by Joshua Collins, after the establishment of the Collinsport fishing community. With two hundred rooms, the manor stood on Widows' Hill, overlooking the village of Collinsport.

The house paid tribute to the Collins family's fishing industry with nautical motifs both on the inside and outside of the house. One such embellishment was a large stone seahorse attached to the roof. The witch Angelique Bouchard used this seahorse to crush and kill Joshua and Naomi Collins.

Collinwood fell into disrepair during the years Barnabas Collins was chained in a coffin and buried underground. It was not until the vampire's release in 1972 that the house was restored to its original glory.

Collinwood was destroyed in a fire after a massive battle between the Collins family and Angelique Bouchard.
