Synopsis Edit

Victoria Winters happens across a mention of Barnabas Collins in an old family journal, prompting her to ask Elizabeth what she knows about her ancestor. This provides a setting for a flashback to 1899 when Elizabeth's grandmother, Margaret was the matron of Collinwood and was first visited by the mysterious cousin from England tainted with a vampire curse.

Margaret is in a loveless marriage with Jonas Collins and they have a crippled daughter, Greta Collins as well as an adopted daughter, Judith.
