Abigail Tolliver was one of the three widows that haunted Widows' Hill, she was said to be the second to die off the hill. Her husband died by drowning and she later followed him to the same fate. Elizabeth Collins Stoddard mentioned her, along with the other two widows, whilst contemplating suicide. Legend has it that the widows, the other two being Rachel Comstock and Margaret Findley, were waiting for a fourth victim to join them. (266)
