Abe Vigoda (born February 24, 1921 – January 26, 2016) played Ezra Braithwaite and Otis Greene in the original Dark Shadows. He was probably best known for the character of Detective Phil Fish in the series Barney Miller (1974-1981) and the short-lived spin-off Fish (1977-1978) and Sal Tessio in The Godfather, parts 1 & 2 (1972, 1974). He was also quite well known as Hollywood's greatest dead actor because of a magazine story which led many people to believe he was dead for many years.
