Synopsis
Willie tells Barnabas everything is done, but is put off by Barnabas’ glare. Willie is enraged by “The Life and Death of Barnabas Collins” and baffled by the prospect of Parallel Time.
Barnabas gives him lessons in temporal mechanics and classical History. Barnabas-PT died in 1830, grieved by Josette. Barnabas is eager to read the middle of the book.
Stokes, who is inexplicably having dinner at Collinwood, learns from Elizabeth that Jeb & Carolyn have married. Carolyn has not contacted her.
Jeb and Carolyn are still running (apparently it’s the same night they were wed). She tries to understand his panic; he tells her the honeymoon’s over.
Stokes gets a break from being Liz’s earpiece to learn of the East Wing Parallel Time theory espoused by Barnabas Collins (whose ‘ancestor’ left for England in 1779).
Elliot Wonders if he’s alive in that timeband; Barnabas wonders what his life might have been, too. They fail to glimpse Parallel Time; Stokes espouses his torn-coat theory.
Jeb and Carolyn arrive at the Carriage House, where he forces a quarrel with her after she turns on the lights. Liz fails to attempt to console her daughter after Carolyn comes home with sad news.
Carolyn contemplates her scenario and visits Jeb against his wishes. She sees the Shadow that is stalking him. She resolves that they should run.
