Willie kidnaps Maggie so that she will not be used for the experiment.
Synopsis[]
- Dark clouds hang low over the great estate of Collinwood. The sleeping house seems to be at peace, but in an old house on the grounds, an act of treachery is about to take place, for one man intends to end a project, and the end will mean misery and death to many.
Barnabas stops Willie from destroying the body. Adam warns Barnabas that he is not working hard enough to create his mate. Willie kidnaps Maggie so that she will not be used for the experiment. Barnabas shows up at Maggie’s house and finds her gone.

Bloopers and continuity errors[]
- In the teaser, the concluding stinger music is played too early. It is played after Barnabas says, "Willie!" but Barnabas still has a line to say after the music ends ("If you touch that body, I will kill you!"). The teaser then ends with no further music.
- Until this episode, there have been two operating tables in the basement lab, one for the experiment and one for the life force donor. Where did the second operating table go?
- At the beginning of Act I, Jonathan Frid mispronounces Collinwood as "Collinswood."
- When Willie and Barnabas are arguing in Act I, a boom mic shadow can be seen moving across the covered body on the experiment table.
- Jonathan Frid flubs: "No point in trying to prevent that something that cannot happen."
- On the terrace, a boom microphone shadow can be seen on the pillar behind and to the right of Victoria as she discusses Jeff and Joe with Maggie.
- A boom mic shadow can be seen as Willie enters Maggie's room.
- As Willie talks to Maggie when she sits on her bed, when he says the words "people" and "plans," Maggie's hair blows back as he pronounces each "p".

- The number 423 inexplicably appears on the wall to the right of the basement door as Barnabas opens it.
- In Act IV, when both Willie and Barnabas enter the Old House cellar space where the glass cabinet sits, an edge of one of the walls can be seen. The edge is unfinished and can clearly be seen to be made of wood rather than cement.
- At the end of the episode, right before Adam's voice-over, there is a loud thumping noise from off-stage.
