Synopsis
Still held captive, Carolyn wakes up and remembers how Adam left when she mentioned food. She wonders if he'll return and if she can reason with him when he does. Adam is locked up in jail, and Elizabeth and Victoria go to see him. They know that he has taken Carolyn, and speak kindly to him, trying to get him to reveal Carolyn's whereabouts. They realize that although he wants to tell them, he only knows a few words and is unable to.
Vicki and Elizabeth return to Collinwood. Liz tells Vicki that Barnabas's nephew who was supposed to arrive soon was coincidentally named Adam Collins. Vicki is certain that they can't possibly be the same man. Later, Cassandra accuses Vicki of disliking her, and bursts into tears, causing Vicki to wonder if she was wrong about her all along.
The Deputy of the prison delights in tormenting Adam. He goes into Adam's cell with the intention of beating him, however Adam overpowers him and escapes through the window.
