Memorable quotes[]

Dramatis personae[]

Background information and notes[]

Production[]

Story[]

  • Carolyn sports a new, shorter hairdo. She must have stopped at a hair salon on her way back from Bangor.
  • The telephone number for Collinwood is Collinsport 4099.
  • The telephone number for the Blue Whale is Collinsport 7022.
  • John Harris is Elizabeth's banker. Carolyn remembers when she opened a one-dollar account in his bank. It's been 4 years since she saw him.
  • Bill knows more about boats than about running the company in the offices. Former manager Ned Calder ran the company better than Bill or Roger.
  • Ned asked Elizabeth to marry him but she refused.
  • TIMELINE: Bill is planning to go up to Collinwood later. It was a couple of days ago when Blair, acting for Burke, inquired about the state of Elizabeth's business assets.

Bloopers and continuity errors[]

  • When Elizabeth brings the teacup to her mouth, her hand trembles and the teacup is seen shaking.
  • Patrick McVey is very obvious about reading the teleprompter. He may also be nervous as small beads of sweat are visible on his forehead.
  • As Carolyn is talking to Mr. Harris, Nancy Barrett drew a complete blank and forgot her lines. Apparently, the teleprompter was not in her view, and she had to turn her head half way to see it. She tried to cover it up by saying she was nervous, but gave no reason to be nervous.
