When I first watched Dark Shadows in 2016, I found a website called Codelphia.com where a man called David M. Martin had written transcripts for most of the episodes (there are some missing, and they're not all perfect, but, hey, transcripts for a series with over a thousand episodes!).
I saved and still have all the transcripts from Codelphia.com (except the first 1-180 episodes, which I've somehow unfortunately lost; and the person who wrote the transcripts never transcribed episodes 377-432). I'd like to add the transcripts to each episode onto the wiki, but I feel bad doing it without permission.
Codelphia.com no longer exists, and I can't seem to track down anyone involved with it, or David M. Martin, the person who wrote the transcripts, whom I believe to be dead based on my investigation.
One of the websites linked to on Codelphia.com was https://kazs-world.com/, but I can't find any way to contact the person running that website either.
If anyone knows anyone involved with Codelphia.com or David M. Martin, I'd really appreciate if they could let me know, so that I can ask permission to post the transcripts here.
Thanks.
Just Updated
Someone may have to refresh my memory cause even with rewatching some episodes I must have missed this but how come the 1970/1995 disaster of collinwood storyline still don't happen? I thought the whole reason it happened is judah died in gerards body and took over his spirit which led him to do such that. But I don't get what barnbas and the others did differently to change things, judah still dies while in gerards body, granted he leaves his body to allow gerard and quentin closure but idk why he did there and not the original timeline where barnabas and the others don't go back. What am I missing here?
Memories
I was reading Here's What Really Happened to Barnabas & Co is an article published in TV Guide magazine on October 9, 1971. Original series writer Sam Hall I was left wondering why there was no mention of Victoria Winters. Did she discover she was Mrs. Stoddard's daughter? Just seemed strange to me to omit that character from his summation. Any idea why?
Was reading the profile of jeb hawkes and it needs to be severely fixed. Its inaccurate and im not quite sure how to fix it. It goes from Barnabas sending Elizabeth and Carolyn away to hide at Angelique's house, but immediately skips a great deal, a considerable amount that really means something to Jebs storyline, to Jebs death at widows hill. Skips the marraige between Jeb and Carolyn. How Jeb softened up just a bit and refused to revert to his true form. Skips how he had Dr Hoffman kidnapped so he could implore upon her to cure him like she cured Barnabas........ There much more.
Im sorry if this was not the right area to address this concern.
I really really love this fandom. So much work has been poured into this. It's amazing 😍
Hey all, I’m looking to start another RP up and I’m looking for collaborators. I’ve got a couple story ideas involving Quentin and Daphne, one set in 1840 and the other is set in present day. The RP will be on Twitter. You need to be literate and know DS inside and out. You also have to be 18+.
**UPDATE**
I’ve decided on the present day story. It’s 1970, and Quentin and Daphne are married. Quentin is a well known, successful horror, sci-fi author, with several published books under his belt. He is starting to work on the next one, when strange things begin to happen. One by one, the things he writes begins to come true!
Well, that’s the premise of it. If this sounds interesting to anybody, gimme a holler!
1.Does this show have alot of plot errors?
2..Does this show have alot of unanswered questions or is the pacing regarding mystery pretty quick?, going off that is this show full of filler?
3..Are the villains pretty effective or are they pretty pointless?
4.Is there some action(fight scene) between the characters?
Without going into detail by detail, did we learn anything new about jonathan, what I mean is did we get to see his obscure works outside of dark shadows, I only knew him to be in two horror movies and a bunch of plays that Im not sure ever had anyone film.
I watched this as a young kid and loved it. I'm surprised now that my mom let me watch it. I'm enjoying seeing it on ME-TV.
I was wondering if it's ever explained how Barnabus has money after he escapes from his coffin and returns to Collinwood. He's refurbishing the old house and talking about going into business with Roger. How does he have $$$?
The producers knew she was pregnant, so they were going to reveal her origins before leaving the show to have the baby, but she ended up leaving early due to complications. Would she have played a character in the 1897 flashback?
I just noticed that the "400's +" episode links are missing from the main Episode list (Original series, of course!). It jumps from 400 to 526. I don't know how to fix it. Somebody check it out. (The 400's appear under the heading "4", but this is the first episode list that seems incomplete.)
Im sure I am not the first person to ask this but had they decided to go with the I guess I call it 2nd original plan cause the original plan was to never introduce the supernatural, that was done as an act of desperation but for the 2nd plan was to kill barnabas and never redeem him, it basically would have been house of dark shadows, obviously we can go down the speculation of the shows viewers getting lower, but I mean had he died before his flashback of 1795, it could have esentially changed most of the show, I mean angelique would have no reason to show up other than to bring him back since she loved him, nicholas could have come only to force julia to make his frankenstein type creatures but even julie was originally supposed to die and supposed to be a man character. Quentin and chris I suppose could have still shown up but a different character would have had to go in the past to stop quentin dying, the leviathan story could have happened with that character, same for parallel time story maybe to escape their world for a better one. The gerard/1840 story might have happened with two different characters, and technically jonathan could still have come back to do his bramwell thing. Overall to me it would have been worse but not tremedously worse, I love barnabas but he was kind of a one note character after a while, this is a guy who spent most of his life in a coffin and just spent most of his arc trying to survive being a vamp, curing himself of vamp or getting a new love interest, I think a reason so many people remember him fondly is he was sort of a first of his kind, a vampire who felt remorse.
But yeah would the original plan to kill him have been better, worse or the same quality of what we got?
Does anyone have any info from word of mouth via conventions and interviews of the 3rd film they had planned, the resurrection of barnabas collins, im curious what they were going to do apart from bringing him back. Honestly the thing I find strange it they were going to call it that but at the end of house of DS, he clearly lives cause he turns into a bat and flies off.
Hello!
I'm new to the discussion group. A while back I purchased the complete DVD set of the series, and have been watching them over the last few months.
I have also bought the 2 Dark Shadows theatrical releases: House of Dark Shadows, and Night of Dark Shadows.
I have just gotten to the end of the 1795 storyline. And last night watched the episode where Professor Stokes makes his first appearance at Collinwood.
My question is: at which point in the TV show story line, is it ok to watch the two movies?
I haven't watched any of the theatrical movies yet, because I don't want any spoilers to interfere with my enjoyment of the TV episodes/story line.
Advice? Suggestions?
Didn't know how to report a page, so I thought I'd post it here.
Could someone take a look at the summary for episode 108? Whoever wrote it doesn't like Victoria Winters, especially in the second half of the episode summary.
Quotes:
"For some reason, Victoria catches on but doesn't scream her fool head off."
"Victoria does some stellar sleuthing to call out Matthew; her one use of brainpower and she misuses it. She becomes a hostage."
I'm not the biggest fan of Vicky myself, but that's just unprofessional and rude.
Hey guys, I published my first review on Vocal media, focused on Dark Shadows!
I go into detail on each arc of the show, providing my own opinion on them, and also discuss some trivia and some of other Dark Shadows media. Hope you like it!

Is anybody else having trouble accessing and reading the "Dark Shadows From The Beginning" blog by prisonerofthenight? I was really enjoying it up until yesterday evening, and all of the sudden it seems to have disappeared on me! It's telling me that the WordPress site is private and I can no longer access it. Wondering if it's just me or if prisonerofthenight decided to take the blog down??
Now that the cw reboot isnt happening, to anyone who has seen the audio dramas, do they ever answer some of the hanging questions left from the show?
mainly:
what did jeb look like in leviathan form, i always imagined a snake looking creature
who made the parallel time worlds in the room in the east wing of collinwood and why?, i guess the why of it all is to give people a 2nd chance like barnabas was hoping for
did petofi and blackwood make it out alive of the fire?-apparently petofi did spoiler alert
i guess i'd like to know if there were any vampires before barnabas, that would be cool.
And are there other supernaturals out there we've never seen?
what made gerard and the other spirits come in 1970-i dont think that was ever explained, quentins spirit came out of his room the kids opened but like gerards ghost came after barnabas and julia went from 1970 parallel time to 1995
are there other werewolves that show up
