Does anyone want to try to find the I guess directors cuts of house and night of dark shadows cause lord knows I've tried looking on the internet and cant find it, I have no idea where to look. Yet one avenue we should not get on is dark and deep web, lets not go down that route. I dont want to believe that missing footage is lost forever.
Cause that reunion special made me really want the question of the footage to be asked about.
It is so frustrating to watch Trask get away with so much. Come on Barnabas get a step ahead please lol!!
I was only 6 or 7 to when I'd skip school and watch with my mother. It's a bond I cherish especially now she's gone. My love for old horror shows comes from my time with her watching Dark Shadows.
My question: I thought I remembered Peter was, at one time, a werewolf. Was he? Was there ever a werewolf on the show? It may be a false memory but it seems true.
I just recently retired and found out that the entire series of Dark shadows is available for viewing on Tubi. This is awesome for me since there were many episodes I missed, including the later seasons which were filmed in color. I kind of wished they had a chatroom availble since it would be kind of cool to talk to other DS fans. At least I have time now to view the *entire series.
If both of Naomi Collins's children died without reproducing, how did the Collins family line continue?
Why is so little information available about Frank Schofield? His birth and death dates are unknown & not available anywhere. It's very strange that the surviving cast members of Dark Shadows are so close and yet no one ever talks about Frank. Kathryn Leigh Scott has written many books about Dark Shadows and acted with Frank on the show so it seems odd that she hasn't written about him.

The fire that destroyed the set of the old house; or when ABC threw the set out and burned it: Twice in the interviews there is mention of this misfortunate event and how they had to write the storyline to avoid the Old House for a month until it was rebuilt. Lela Swift mentions it, and so does one of the actors, though I can't remember now who brings it up. Does anyone know exactly when during the series this happened?

The two feature films...is there are an appropriate place in the series to stop and watch the two films? Around which episodes? Or does it not matter?
Thank you very much.
Hi all, I own a Star Trek Concordance, and used to own a Darkover Concordance. I'm hoping there is a Dark Shadows Concordance. These sorts of books are often popular with fans, and contain things like maps/floorplans, character and location descriptions, timelines, and so forth. Much of this type of information is normally included in a "show bible," but publications for fans are usually nicer.
What I'm not really looking for are photos from the sets or PR department, production ancecdotes and all that sort of thing. In other words, not a book about the tv show, but a book about the fantasy world. Not a novel, but a reference book.
Does anyone know if there is such a thing for Dark Shadows? Thanks!
I apologize if this is an old or silly question, but we recently started watching the first episodes on Amazon Prime and are puzzled by the moving images in the windows of the Blue Whale. What are those images supposed to be? Water? (If so, the perspective sure is off.) Clouds? Something else?
I’m surprised that there has not been discussion here about the news that a reboot of the series is likely to happen. The rights of the show are held by Dan Curtis daughters Tracy and Cathy. Tracy Curtis started a production company called Amasia Entertainment. Bradley Gallo is their President and he will be working to develop the show for another generation of viewers. I think that the fact that Tracy and Brad have the reboot of Dark Shadows as part of projects for the company is very exciting!! I hope we hear more soon. If you know about more information on this, please post it.
When the show was originally broadcast, did people know ahead of time about the Barnabas storyline, or were they completely surprised that a hand gripped Willy when he opened the coffin?
I LOVE Barnabas Collins (of course!) - but I've also wondered why he usually carrried his cane when he'd be away from The Old House? He apparently could walk just fine without it. So... Was it for added protection (if he, as a vampire, wasn't in biting range)? Was it out of habit that started in 1795 after the vampire curse - maybe as a coutomary gentleman's accessory? Thoughts, anyone? Let's discuss it! :-) --Missy H.
Was it spelled "Du Pres" (capitalized D) or "du Pres" (lower-case "d")? I ask since I see both used on different pages on the Wiki, and think it would be better to have a uniform way of writing it out across the site. Wasn't sure whether one way was "more correct" than the other.
Was anyone else bothered/ disturbed by Grayson Hall’s constant stuttering/stammering while performing on Dark Shadows? Unless it was due to an illness or medical condition,I could understand and forgive it,but if not,it was completely unprofessional and annoying to watch and listen to.
